Curriculum-Based Programs
$10 per student
Our curriculum-based programs combine interactive learning, historic buildings, artifacts, demonstrations, and hands-on activities to help students experience Alberta history and science in a meaningful way.
Grade 3 Social Studies
Settlers of Alberta: Challenges and Contributions
Students discover the realities of pioneer life by making decisions settlers faced every day.
Activities include:

Grade 5 Science
Weather, Climate & Conservation Agriculture
Learning comes alive as students investigate how weather and farming shaped life on the prairies.
Students will:

Each student receives an activity booklet to record their discoveries, with teacher resources available.
Other Programs
The Great Depression
Recommended for Grades 5 and up
Step back into one of the most challenging periods in Alberta's history.
Through stories, historic buildings, and hands-on activities, students discover how local families adapted during the Great Depression. They'll explore daily life at home, school, church, and within the community while gaining a deeper appreciation for resilience, resourcefulness, and the importance of working together.
Includes a student workbook with activities to complete during and after the visit.

Most programs include both indoor and outdoor experiences, so please dress for Alberta weather.

Many of our historic buildings were built over 100 years ago and reflect the accessibility standards of their time.
