THE MUSEUM HAS NOW MOVED TO WINTER OPENING HOURS. WE ARE OPEN FROM 10AM TO 4PM, MONDAY TO FRIDAY.
THE PIONEER MUSEUM IS RAISING MONEY FOR THE RESTORATION OF OUR 1917 CABOOSE WITH AN ONLINE 50/50. GO TO THE RAFFLEBOX WEBSITE FOR MORE INFORMATION AND TO BUY TICKETS.
Our Mission is to Collect, preserve and present our artifacts and stories for everyone.
The Pioneer Museum is preserving tens of thousands of objects for future generations and showing how rural life was for the people who built our communities. We keep alive our cultural heritage through demonstrations, field exhibits, displays, and hands on activities.
OUR TEA HOUSE
The Tea House is closed for the rest of 2021. We hope to see you all again in the Spring of 2022.
Usually open on Fridays and Saturdays from May until the end of September, 11am to 3pm, for delicious soups, sandwiches and desserts, the Pioneer Museum Tea House is the Museum's pride and joy.
The Museum offers field trips, primarily for Grade 5 on the Great Depression, and Grade 2 on Founding Cultures and Crawling Insects. We are also working on putting virtual field trips on Youtube for those schools that can't make it to Stony Plain for an in-person field trip.
We usually offer lectures on the topics of local history and culture in February and March of every year. All lecture topics will be posted on the website, Facebook and in the local newspaper.
