Welcome to the Pioneer Museum.

The Pioneer Museum will be closed on Monday September 4th for Labor Day.

 

As of September 1, 2023 the Pioneer Museum will be open will be open  Monday to Saturday from 10-4 daily for the balance of September.  Closed Sundays

 

Winter hours will take effect as of October 1, 2023 and we will be open Monday to Friday 10-4.

Our Mission is to Collect, preserve and present our artifacts and stories for everyone.

The Pioneer Museum is preserving tens of thousands of objects for future generations and showing how rural life was for the people who built our communities. We keep alive our cultural heritage through demonstrations, field exhibits, displays, and hands on activities.

OUR TEA HOUSE

THE TEA HOUSE IS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2023 SEASON!

Open on Fridays and Saturdays from May until the end of September, 11am to 3pm, for delicious soups, sandwiches and desserts, the Pioneer Museum Tea House is the Museum's pride and joy.

SEPTEMBER 30TH WILL BE THE LAST DAY OPEN FOR THE 2023 SEASON.

EDUCATION PROGRAMS

The Museum offers field trips, primarily for Grade 5 on the Great Depression, and Grade 2 on Founding Cultures and Crawling Insects. We are also working on putting virtual field trips on Youtube for those schools that can't make it to Stony Plain for an in-person field trip.
