Our Mission is to Collect, preserve and present our artifacts and stories for everyone.

The Pioneer Museum is preserving tens of thousands of objects for future generations and showing how rural life was for the people who built our communities. We keep alive our cultural heritage through demonstrations, field exhibits, displays, and hands on activities.

OUR TEA HOUSE

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the Tea House is closed for the 2020 season.

Usually open on Fridays and Saturdays from May until the end of September, 11am to 3pm, for delicious soups, sandwiches and desserts, the Pioneer Museum Tea House is the Museum's pride and joy.

EDUCATION PROGRAMS

The Museum offers field trip opportunities primarily for Grade 5 on the Great Depression and Grade 2 on Founding Cultures and Crawling Insects.

LECTURE SERIES

We offer lectures on the topics of local history and culture in February and March of every year. All lectures topics will be posted on the website, Facebook and in the local newspaper.

WHERE IS THE MUSEUM?

The Pioneer Museum is located behind Heritage Park in Stony Plain. Look for the Don Gray Barn once you enter Heritage Park. Take the access road at the west side of the parking lot.
