Our Mission is to Collect, preserve and present our artifacts and stories for everyone.
The Pioneer Museum is preserving tens of thousands of objects for future generations and showing how rural life was for the people who built our communities. We keep alive our cultural heritage through demonstrations, field exhibits, displays, and hands on activities.
OUR TEA HOUSE
The Tea House is currently closed.
Usually open on Fridays and Saturdays from May until the end of September, 11am to 3pm, for delicious soups, sandwiches and desserts, the Pioneer Museum Tea House is the Museum's pride and joy.
The Museum normally offers field trips, primarily for Grade 5 on the Great Depression and Grade 2 on Founding Cultures and Crawling Insects. Due to Covid restrictions we cannot offer in-person field trips but are currently working on putting virtual field trips on Youtube.
We usually offer lectures on the topics of local history and culture in February and March of every year. All lecture topics will be posted on the website, Facebook and in the local newspaper.
